JODIE PRENGER

 Explosive! That’s the only way to describe the unique personality of Jodie Prenger.

 She started her theatrical training at the National Youth Theatre in London and at St Annes Performing Arts College, qualifying with honours. She has also received vocal training from Rebecca Storm and Michael Hall, drama with James Ray and the Palatine Performing Arts School.

 In the early part of her career she played many of the major holiday centre circuits and the northern cabaret clubs with such stars as the late Bernard Manning.

 Her theatre credits include; Fraulien Schinder in Cabaret, Katisha in The Hot Mikado, Lotte Aimes in Mack & Mabel for the Premier Theatre Company, One Night Only at the Grand Theatre in Blackpool, she has appeared with The American Drifters at Ribby Hall and the Chorley Theatre with the legendary Liverpool comedian Ken Dodd.

 On the small screen she has appeared on three occasions with Michael Barrymore for LWT, A Taste For Travel for Granada and a pilot show also for LWT which starred Ant & Dec. In 2001 and 2002 she was entertaining thousands of passengers for Disney Cruises. One of her many hobbies include skydiving, Jodie says she even has the pictures to prove it!

 In 2004 she made her sensational pantomime debut for Pantoni in Yeovil in the role of the Slave of the Ring which she repeated at the Civic Theatre in Doncaster in 2005 followed by the Good Fairy in Sleeping Beauty at the Hull New Theatre in 2006.

 In 2006 she was the first female to win the prestigious Winning TV’s programme ‘Britain’s Biggest Looser’ when she lost 8 stone bringing her first taste of national recognition.

 She is now one of the final contestants in BBC TV’s ‘I’d Do Anything’ competing for the role of Nancy in the forthcoming West End production.
